August 2009 / Brand New Max’s Prepares for Launch…
Following significant investment, SeaHold Catering has announced a new brand for their catering business in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. The businesses, which open on Friday, 14 August, will sit under the Max’s Classic Italian brand name and will be identified by their own trading name.
Pizzeria & Grill is a 60 cover restaurant offering a range of good quality, traditional Italian food. Caffè & Deli – formerly Francesca’s Delicatessen – opens in larger, extended premises and offers light snacks and refreshments. Food to Go is a takeaway and home delivery business offering oven baked pizza, and pasta dishes.


July 2009 / Good To Go; Westhill Takes A Pizza the Action…
Max’s Restaurant in Westhill, Aberdeenshire has announced it is opening a new pizza and home-delivery business to gain a slice of the lucrative £9.33bn fast food, takeaway and home-delivery market. Four new posts will be created when the business, called Food to Go, opens in August. It will occupy one of three units now leased by SeaHold Catering.
As part of an ongoing refurbishment programme, Max’s Restaurant will close for two weeks from Sunday 26 July. Food to Go, the restaurant and delicatessen will all reopen on Friday, 14 August.


June 2009 / Children Get a Slice of Max’s Menu as Extension is Announced…
Max’s Restaurant in Westhill, Aberdeenshire has added two new pizzas to its children’s menu after a pizza design competition with local schools. The competition was part of a healthy eating campaign by the Italian restaurant, which is operated by SeaHold Catering. Italian cuisine has long been regarded as being healthier than other nations and family is a big part of Italian culture, so there was a clear fit.
It has also been announced that work will get underway to extend and refurbish Max’s sister business Francesca’s Delicatessen. The Delicatessen will be closed from 6th July for three weeks.


June-2009 / Seahold serves up new division…
SeaHold has created a new Catering division following the purchase of Max’s Restaurant and Francesca’s Delicatessen in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. Both businesses sell Italian dishes and produce. Jennifer Stewart, who has a background in hospitality, has been appointed business unit director and will head up the new division. This is SeaHold’s first venture into the hospitality sector, and it is expected that these businesses will undergo refurbishment and rebranding in the coming months.

Sept-2008 / Dublin Office…
SeaHold Investment Ltd enters into long lease for the top two floors of the Malting Tower in Dublin with Treasury Holdings. The Malting Tower is a sympathetically modernised building of considerable historical interest located in the Lower Grand Canal Quay area of the city. The new office is close to a number of SeaHold’s professional service providers and advisers and will become the headquarters for all worldwide SeaHold Group investment activity.

SeaHold commits to being main sponsor of the Perie Banou II campaign for the 2008 Rolex Sydney to Hobart yacht race.  SeaHold Perie Banou II is a fully refurbished Sparkman & Stephens 39 and will be jointly skippered by Jon Sanders and Davie Dicks supported by an all Western Australia based crew. This exciting sponsorship agreement is a part of SeaHold’s stated strategy of increasing awareness of its brand amongst marine related entities in Australasia.

Aug-2008 / Janelle Manton Joins…
Janelle Manton joins SeaHold Investment Ltd as its Dublin based Regional Director from Ernst & Young (Dublin).  Janelle is Australian with considerable international experience and a strong shipping related corporate finance and cross-border taxation background, and is qualified both as an Accountant & Lawyer.  As well as overseeing European operations, Janelle has been recruited to oversee the further expansion of SeaHold’s investment activities, and although based in Dublin is expected to spend a considerable amount of time extending SeaHold’s operations into Asia-Pacific.

Clare Kearns joins SeaHold Investment Ltd as its Dublin based Administration Manager.  Clare has a strong background in general administration with a particular emphasis on property activity gained in the Dublin market.

April-2008 / Jennifer Stewart to head up Glen Deskry Developments Ltd…
As part of a general group restructuring, Jennifer Stewart is to head up newly formed Glen Deskry Developments Ltd (GDD) an internal business unit set up by SeaHold to manage a developing property project portfolio.  As well as seeking out new property investment opportunities, GDD will commence operations immediately by managing a number of current projects including on-going commercial projects in the UK, and luxury residential developments in both the UK and New Zealand.

March-2008 / Yacht “HEBRIDEAN” placed on long term loan to Sail Hebrides...
To supplement its existing sponsorship support, SeaHold have provided its Jeanneau 42DS yacht to Sail Hebrides on long term loan. The boat which was delivered to SeaHold in 2007 is to be used primarily for sail training purposes, specifically to introduce young Hebridean Islanders to the marine environment.

February-2008 / SeaHold exits from its investment in TSMarine...
SeaHold together with others has completely sold out of its position in Aberdeen based TSMarine Contracting Ltd to a syndicate of buyers including ABN-AMRO Bank and 3i.  This was the original SMP investment and has been a significantly rewarding success story for SeaHold.  SeaHold’s principals and management wish TSMarine’s new owners much success in the further development of the TSMarine business.

Jennifer Stewart joins SeaHold Ltd as its Aberdeen based Administration Manager. Jennifer has considerable experience of the oil and gas business in the Grampian area having spent several years with UKOOA and is to be based at Bishop House in Aberdeen.

May-2007 / SeaHold commit to the sponsorship of Sail Hebrides...
SeaHold commits to being the main sponsor of Sail Hebrides.  Based in Stornoway in the Island of Lewis, Sail Hebrides is the organisation behind the annual Sail Hebrides boating event, the only one of its kind in the outer isles.  SeaHold has strong links to the Hebrides and is delighted to be able to support an organisation of this kind, and has committed its support until 2009 with options to extend past that point by mutual agreement.

March-2007 / SeaHold moves to Bishop House in Aberdeen…
SeaHold has moved from its Banchory Business Centre location to offices on the 1st floor of Bishop House in Carden Place,  Aberdeen.  All oil and gas and marine related investment activity is to be managed out of the Bishop House office.

October-2005 / SMP changes name to SeaHold Ltd…
SMP’s name has been changed to SeaHold to reflect a major change of business direction from a focus on single entity investment with a great deal of direct involvement in the investee entity,  to that of an investor with a lighter touch in a broad range of commercial projects.  Whilst the focus will continue to be significantly on offshore and marine related businesses, investment opportunities in other industries can also now be considered on their commercial merits.

October-2003 / SMP Enter into JV with TFDS Offshore to form TSMarine…
A new venture targeting the marine support of offshore oil and gas operations has been set up by SMP, TFDS Offshore and other associated parties.  TFDS are to provide vessels to the JV, with SMP and associated parties providing contracting opportunities. TSMarine Contracting Ltd which will be entirely separate to both TFDS Offshore and SMP will however operate from the Banchory Business Centre.

July-2003  / SeaNergy Marine Projects formed…
SeaNergy Marine Projects Ltd (SMP) formed to participate by investment in the emerging offshore renewable energy business.  The company which has been started with two employees is to be based at the Banchory Business Centre on Deeside in Scotland.
